Before coming to Phillips & Akers, Ms. Ford handled trial and appellate litigation as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Colorado, as a Management Attorney for the Massachusetts Executive Department, and as an Assistant District Attorney for Harris County, Texas. She has handled several hundred appeals and has tried over forty cases to verdict before juries in state and federal courts. She has tried numerous bench trials to verdict in state and federal courts.

At Phillips & Akers, where she is a Director, Ms. Ford has defended individuals and corporations in lawsuits based on a variety of claims, including employment, negligence, product liability, and toxic tort claims. Her current practice emphasis, in which she manages a staff handling a voluminous ongoing docket, is the defense of silicosis and asbestosis litigation.
